Indian Navy Executive Branch (Law)

The employment of Law Graduate Entry in the Executive Branch is very important due to the legal system of the Indian civil system in conjunction with Naval law and Regulations. The important highlights are as under.

The Law section of the Navy called Judge Advocate General(JAG) as same as Army.

Eligibility of (Law) Executive Branch of Indian Navy

>> Age Limit

  • Between the ages of 22 and 27 years
  • Born between 02 July 1994 to 01 July 1999 (Both the date inclusive)

>> Qualification

  • LLB from a college recognized by the university as well as the Bar Association of India.
  • Minimum marks: 55%

Procedure to Join Indian Navy SSC Executive Branch (Sports & Law)

1. The candidate will compete on open merit for selection.

2. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a personnel Preliminary screening board by qualified Naval Officers.

3. The Preliminary screen board will ensure physical & medical fitness, scrutiny of academic performance, verification of personal documents, etc.

4. This board will facilitate to clarify the existing terms & conditions of short service commission and its advantages in the service.

5. It is an opportunity to explore the future possibilities in the sports career in the national & international levels.


Note: No Railway fare is admissible at this stage. However, AC-III class fare is admissible on reporting SSB center for the first time on the production of inward journey tickets.


6. The selected persons will be tested at one of the Service Selection Board (SSB) located in Bhopal/Bangalore/Visakhapatnam in May 2021.

Service Selection Boards Procedures

SSB procedure is the same as normal candidates who appear as NDA candidates or graduate-entry scheme etc.

Interview call-up will be issued by the Service selection center or Naval Headquarters and inform the candidate through e-mail accordingly.

No change of SSB center and date of interview is permitted due to the to Covid-19 situation. Hence, candidates should prepare for SSB well in advance.

Since The Naval Officer of any specialized category can be called upon to perform operational duties, SSB will test the candidate’s personality through a Five-day selection schedule along with other Naval Officers aspirants.

No relaxation can be expected from SSB for the testing procedure due to your outstanding sports performance at the National/International level.

The two stages of SSB such as Screening Test consists of OIR, PPDT and GTO, Psychologist & Interview covering four days of the test.

2. Click Apply Online

3. Select Your Hometown State and Save

4. Create a new Account (If you already created one, simply login)

5. Fill up your personal details, educational details and account details.

6. After that you will need to verify your email ID and mobile number.

So you will need to check your email and an OTP message on the number you registered on the Indian Navy Website

7. After confirmation of account, Login again to complete your application registration
