Six vacancies have been allotted to the NCC Naval Senior Division for short service commission in the Navy. The course will start on 01 January 2022 at Naval Academy, INS, Zamorin, Ezhimala, Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria for NCC Special Entry in Navy

NCC Special Entry scheme is one of the easiest and simplest formats to join the Indian Navy as an officer cadre without many hurdles, including written/cut off marks if you full fill the following primary conditions:

• NCC “C” Certificate with ‘B’ grade.

• BE/B Tech Passed/to be completed before January 2022

• Age: Between 19-24 years(Not earlier than 02 January 1997 and later than 01 January 2002(Both dates inclusive)

• Male candidates only(Senior Division only)

• Recommendations from Senior Most Officer from state NCC Directorate

• Selection for SSB interview based on candidate’s approval by Director General NCC, New Delhi

• Documents need to be kept ready/attached along with the application

• Attested copy of BE/B Tech marks sheet & Original/Provisional certificate

• Certified copy of 12th certificate/mark sheet

• Attested copy of 10th Marks sheet & certificate for supporting Date of Birth

• Attested copy of NCC “C” Certificate(Minimum ‘B’ Grade is mandatory), Naval Wing

How To Apply For NCC Special Entry Scheme in Indian Navy

The Application Form will be submitted to NCC authorities for their recommendations.

The Additional Director will recommend the same after the potential of the candidate to become an officer.

The same will be forwarded to the Director-General, NCC, New Delhi Latest by the end of May 2021(Some relaxation of submission of application is given due to COVID-19).

Documents Required To Keep for Verification

1. NCC “C” Certificate in original.

2. Marks sheets from 12th standard & graduation (of Provisional Degree sheets).

3. Marks sheets of all years/semesters.

4. Principal certificate stating the candidate is waiting for final examination/result.

5. Proof of Nationality.

6. Individual declaration on non-submission of original certificates beyond personal capacity.

How to Prepare for Initial Preparation of Interview at NCC level

It would help if you were ready to answer some basic questions about your personal life and academic performance, including NCC activities. Most of the answers may be practiced and work for presenting confidently at the time of the interview of the NCC top brace.

SSB Center Activities

>> Stage -1 (Screening)

1. Officer Intelligence Rating(OIR) Test

Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) test results facilitate SSB assessors to evaluate the candidate’s intelligence level through its verbal and non-verbal (40-50 minutes) testing processes.

This timed test enables to test the candidate’s intelligence and logical ability to answer quickly and correctly.

2. Picture Perception & Description Test(PP&DT).

It is the second test as part of the screening test in the SSB. Candidates will show a picture for the observation to recognize the character.

>> Stage -2 (SSB Activities)

The next four days will be hectic to undergo, riddled with several tests under Psychologist, GTO, and interview officer independently.

1. Psychological Test

This test consists of Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), Word Association Test(WAT), Situation Reaction Test (SRT) & Self Description Test (SDT).

2. GTO

This includes Group Discussion (GD), Group Planning Exercise(GPE), Progressive Group Task (PGT), Half Group Test (HGT), Individual Obstacle Test (OT), Command Task (CT), Group Obstacle Race(GOR), Lecturette, Final Group Task (FGT).

3. Personal Interview

This will be based on your submitted Personal details at the time of reporting at SSB( Be truthful and frank- the way you are …face and enjoy the interview) by Interviewing Officer
(IO): 15 – 45 mins interaction.
